Maya Rudolph's Beyonce And Timberlake's Bon Iver Make For Vintage Sketch
The sketch was arguably the high point of a hugely successful guest hosting from Rudolph, a cast member of the show between 2000 and 2007 and who subsequently went on to star in the likes of 'Away We Go,' 'Bridesmaids' and 'Grown Ups'. The sketch saw her and Pharoah welcome first "Prince" into the room, who bore the gift of a smirk, whilst "Ll Cool J" wore his "formal" Kangol for the occasion, with "Angelina Jolie" claiingd her "baby senses" were tingling as she dropped by with "Brad Pitt."
The highlight though, reports CNN, was regular 'Saturday Night Live' contributor Justin Timberlake who put in a comical turn as Justin Vernon, apologizing for his lateness owing to "wandering barefoot through the woods of Wisconsin," fashioning a "guitar out of a canoe" so he could perform a song," before putting himself to sleep with his own performance. It evidently impressed a watching Vernon, who Tweeted "holy s***, i was just watching Snl and JT did a Bon Iver hilarious thing! Also, Maya Rudolph saying 'bon iver' is enough. I can die now!!!"
