May Wants Depp To Play Mercury
Queen guitarist Brian May is backing Johnny Depp to play late frontman Freddie Mercury in an upcoming biopic.
The surviving members of the band - May, ROGER TAYLOR and JOHN DEACON - are all involved in the project which will tell the life story of the WE WILL ROCK YOU singer, who died of an AIDS-related illness in 1991.
May says, "Discussions are at an early stage. Johnny Depp is fantastic. He would be a worthy counterpart for Freddie on screen."
