British entertainer Max Bygraves was remembered at a music-filled funeral in Australia on Wednesday (19Sep12).
The comedian and variety performer, who emigrated Down Under in 2005, died in his sleep at his home in Queensland, Australia last month (31Aug12) after a two-year battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Around 50 of his family and friends remembered the late star at a church in Nerang, Queensland and the service featured a speech from his son, Anthony.
Anthony also performed a musical tribute to his father and the funeral concluded with a medley of Bygraves' dance-hall hits, while his son joked to the mourners, "Dad would be delighted to know he's still playing a full house."
Bygraves' wife Gladys, known as Blossom, was also remembered during the service. She died last year (11).
A memorial service will be held for Bygraves in the U.K. at a later date.
