Matthew Morrison - Matthew Morrison Stunned By Barack Obama Embrace
Matthew Morrison was left overwhelmed during a meeting with Barack Obama when the U.S. President warmly embraced him to thank him for performing in a special show.
The Glee actor was part of an all-star line-up performing a Christmas concert in 2010, and the U.S. leader, his wife Michelle and their two daughters were among the audience.
And Obama stunned Morrison backstage by shunning a traditional handshake to greet him, instead offering a hug.
The star tells British morning show Lorraine, "I think I've met the Obamas about seven times. I've got a little crush on Michelle... she's a beautiful woman.
"My favourite experience was when I went there... and I sang at Christmas time, and I sang a Hawaiian Christmas song, Mele Kalikimaka, and it means Merry Christmas in Hawaiian. I was kind of pandering to the President because he's from there...
"And then afterwards there's always like a line to meet the president, shake his hand... he was so taken by it he goes, 'Matthew!' and he gives me a big hug. It was really cool."
