Soul star Mary J. Blige fulfilled a lifelong ambition this year (13) by recording her first album of Christmas songs.
The Family Affair hitmaker released A Mary Christmas in October (13). The album contained R&B versions of traditional tunes such as Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Little Drummer Boy.
And Blige was delighted to finally spread some seasonal cheer on record, saying, "Christmas is, like, my favourite holiday, my favourite time of year, and I've always wanted to record a Christmas album... but I never found the time.
"When (producer) David Foster suggested the idea, and there was space in my schedule, it was a dream come true."
The video also features an appearance from model Tyson Beckford and ‘Empire’ star Jussie Smollett.
