Marvin Humes' proposal nerves

Marvin Humes was terrified when he proposed to wife Rochelle.

The JLS singer popped the question to The Saturdays beauty during a romantic holiday in the Maldives but he was very nervous beforehand as he was scared the ring would fall out of his pocket or would be visible to Rochelle before he asked.

He said: ''I was really nervous. You know what I was most nervous about was is that, I don't know if you know this I, but I had to hide the ring in my shorts so I was very sort of like this (leans forward) the whole way to the beach and then obviously you know I got down on one knee and it was just, it was incredible.''

Marvin - who married Rochelle last July and is now expecting his first child with her - admits he fluffed up his words and the whole proposal was accidentally caught on video camera.

Bandmate J.B. Gill revealed: ''And he said I want to make you the happiest man in the world.''

To which Marvin admitted: ''Yeah that's what I said, I got so tongue-twisted. I've got it on film as well - where I set up a camera to. I set it up as a still shot because it was at the end of the island and I said 'OK get ready 1 2 3' and then obviously I walked up to her and I had it on video mode so I videoed the whole thing.''
