Coldplay - Martin's Coldplay Doodle Raises $2,600 For Charity
A comedy drawing of Coldplay by frontman Chris Martin has raised more than $2,600 (£1,625) for a children's charity.
The rocker sketched himself and his three bandmates as caricatures on a piece of blank sheet music paper in aid of Pencils of Promise, which raises money for schools in the developing world.
The personally signed piece of artwork sold online on Tuesday (20Dec11) for $2,680 (£1,675), while a motivational verse written by Glee actress Lea Michele raised $710 (£433).
A drawing by Hugh Jackman is still currently up for grabs on the organisation's website, while Mariah Carey's handwritten lyrics to hit track Hero are also being offered to the top bidder.
