Maroon - Maroon 5 Tie Jepsen For Longest U.s. Number One Run Of The Year

Maroon 5 have matched Carly Rae Jepsen for the longest run atop of the U.S. pop charts in 2012 after scoring a ninth week at number one.

The band's One More Night and Jepsen's Call Me Maybe have spent a combined 18 weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100 this year, with Gotye's Somebody That I Used To Know lagging behind with eight weeks.

It's sad news for South Korean pop star Psy on the new countdown - his Gangnam Style drops from two to five after spending seven weeks behind Maroon 5's One More Night.

Rihanna's Diamonds takes over the number two spot on the new chart, while Ke$ha's Die Young debuts in the top five at three and fun.'s Some Nights drops a spot to four.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift's Red continues to dominate the U.S. album chart, scoring a third week at number one, while the latest Now compilation debuts at two.

Rod Stewart's Merry Christmas, Baby holds at three for a second week, Ne-Yo debuts R.E.D. at four, and Aerosmith return to the top five with Music From Another Dimension, the band's first album of all original material since 2001.
