Mark Ruffalo Rules Out Future Hulk Movies

Mark Ruffalo has dismissed the idea of appearing in future 'Hulk' films.

The 44-year-old actor starred as Bruce Banner/Hulk in summer blockbuster 'Avengers Assemble' but he has ruled out appearing in any future standalone films about the huge green comic book character.

Mark told MTV News: ''I think they've done it. I think they feel that they've done that. I think they don't really know where to go [with the character].''

The last decade saw the character rebooted twice, with Eric Bana taking on the titular role in 2003's 'Hulk' and Edward Norton in 'The Incredible Hulk' five years later.

It was previously reported that Mark signed a six-picture deal to play the character in future films, but it seems that could include appearances in future 'Avengers' sequels.

However, Mark has previously expressed his wish to play the character in a standalone film, saying he wants to get 'Avengers Assemble' writer and director Joss Whedon ''in a room and work out what could be a Hulk movie''.

But it seems those plans are no longer in the pipeline, and Hulk may be reduced to supporting roles and Cameo appearances in future Marvel projects.
