Mark Ruffalo - Mark Ruffalo Dismisses The Hulk Movie Rumours
Mark Ruffalo has dismissed rumours he will be bringing The Hulk back to cinemas in a "stand alone" movie.
The actor was drafted in to play Dr. Bruce Banner and his mean, green alter-ego in superhero blockbuster The Avengers, along with Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Chris Evans as Captain America.
Downey, Jr.'s third Iron Man movie is set for release this spring (13), ahead of Thor sequel Thor: The Dark World in November (13) and the second Captain America movie next year (14), so fans have been speculating whether Ruffalo would be given his own outing as The Hulk.
However, the actor insists movie bosses currently have no plans to give the character his own film.
In a series of posts on Twitter.com, he writes, "A lot of folks have been asking about the next Hulk. The next time you see my Hulk it will be in The Avengers 2. No plans for stand alone. I am not giving up on another stand alone Hulk. But it's not in the works right now. One never knows what the future will bring."
The Avengers 2 is due to hit cinemas in 2015.
The Hulk has previously been played on the big screen by Edward Norton and Eric Bana.
