Mark Ronson's New Collaborations

Mark Ronson will collaborate with a number of up-and-coming musicians on a new project.

The producer-turned-singer - who has previously worked with stars including Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen and Robbie Williams - has embarked on new scheme The Creators Project, which will see him work with fellow musicians, filmmakers, visual artists and fashion designers in a bid to fuse creativity and modern technology.

Discussing the project - which has been launched by media company VICE and Intel Corporation - Mark told BANG Showbiz: "All these artists involved in this project have their own strong vision. For me, I'm just serving a few of them. Also I'm going to be performing at the parties. I want to work with some of the visual artists to come up with some amazing things I can use for my tour.

"The level of the people working on this - they're some of the most forward-thinking people around. So it'll be good.. Inspiring."

The Creator Project will see 80 artists join forces around the world over the next few months as they try and "inspire the global youth" with new collaborations and events which will be showcased on lived on TheCreatorsProject.com.

Mark, who is the ambassador of the project, said: "The reason why they asked me to be a 'Creator' is not because they give a s**t whether I sound cool or not, but because I've based my whole track record on collating and collaborating with great people and that's what this project is supposed to be about. I think, from my first record, putting Jack White on a track with Freeway or Wiley or whatever it is, I enjoy putting different people together to create in a way you wouldn't expect people to belong together and also making sure you're not doing it in some obnoxious way like Limp Bizkit and DMX, something like that.

"Plus there's something about VICE which is kind of cool and they are a bit against the norm and anti in a way. They feel like they're sitting at the cool kids table at school or something."
