Marilyn Manson Beats Lady Gaga And Ozzy In Scariest Musician Poll
Marilyn Manson has scared off competition from Lady GaGa, Ozzy Osbourne and Alice Cooper to be named the world's most frightening musician in a Halloween-themed online poll.
The shock rocker's creepy videos, gravelly voice and bondage-style outfits spooked editors at Billboard.com so much they placed him at number one in a countdown of scary stars.
They state, "Congratulations Marilyn Manson! If there were a musical human embodiment of the word 'nightmare,' it would be you."
Manson saw off competition from Lady Gaga, whose bloody performance at the 2009 Mtv Video Music Awards landed her in second place, while masked rockers Slipknot were third. Osbourne and Cooper round out the top five.
