Marianne Faithfull Planning To Work With Cat Power
Sixties icon Marianne Faithfull is planning a big French connection with cult modern 'it' girl Cat Power now the singer is planning a move to the classic beauty's adopted Paris.
Faithfull considers Power - aka Chan Marshall - the rightful successor to her torch singer crown and she's looking forward to hooking up with her in France.
She tells Spinner.com, "I'm interested in thinking who will pick up my mantle of work and I think I know now. It's ended up with Chan Marshall and Rufus Wainwright. I follow both Rufus and Chan very closely. Actually, Chan is moving to Paris which will be wonderful for me.
"We'll discuss (working together) and learn from each other.
"Chan was very cool. She sought me out. We had some wonderful dinners. We talked and talked."
