She recalled visiting the doctor to fix a routine throat problem, but was abused after being made to change into a gown, saying, "I was really young, so I was so uncomfortable. (My boyfriend) Kevin (Undergaro) was in the waiting room and I literally started screaming ... I was just so uncomfortable I didn't know what to do". At the time, Kevin had urged his girlfriend to press charges, though Maria did not want to make matters worse. One has to assume she may be encouraged to change her mind, given that she made the claims while on-air to millions of Stern's listeners. Menounos also referred to numerous separate incidents in which physicians and gynecologists had made her feel uncomfortable.
