Manic Street Preachers - Manic Street Preachers Play 38-Song Set For London Crowd
The Manic Street Preachers treated fans to a massive 38-song set on Saturday night (17Dec11) to celebrate their lengthy career.
The Welsh rockers headlined London's O2 Arena for the special Christmas show, their last concert for two years, and performed all of their hit singles.
They kicked off with You Stole The Sun From My Heart, and sang with special guests including Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys and The Cardigans' Nina Persson.
During the concert, guitarist/singer James Dean Bradfield reminisced about former bandmember Richey Edwards, who disappeared in 1995.
Speaking about a track called Revol, which was written by Edwards, Bradfield told the crowd, "We were in Portugal at this festival until about 2am in the morning and Richey peaked too early.
"He was f**king smashed eating a kiwi fruit and he goes: 'I've got an amazing lyric, it's about group sex in the Kremlin'. I said: 'Sounds like a winner to me', so here we go."
They rounded off the hits show with one of their most popular tracks, 1996's A Design For Life.
