Magnolia Director Launches Bed Bug Suit

03 November 2006
Magnolia movie-maker Paul Anderson is suing the owner of his New York apartment after he and his wife were "bitten all over their bodies" by bed bugs.
The director and comedienne spouse Maya Rudolph moved into the lavish flat last month (OCT06) but were advised by an exterminator to seek an alternative residence for the sake of their one-year-old baby.
The couple is seeking $450,500 (GBP235,800) in damages for the infestation, which they claim was covered up.
They're also angry a lift to the third-floor apartment was out of order for at least six of their first 11 days in the building, despite assurances from owner FRANCIS FEENEY on their move that they could expect "first-class luxury".
They have since moved out of the building.
