Magic Mike Reviews Set Green Light For Movie Goers

The first round of reviews for the Channing Tatum and Matthew Mcconaughey staring Magic Mike are in, and so far things look relatively positive for the film.

According to Metacritic, the film has yet to score a single negative review, with critics applauding the Steven Soderbergh directed movie for its originality and well-handled script. The male-stripper movie has also garnered praise for the performances of its leading male stars and the female cast too, led by Olivia Munn and Wendi McLendon-Covey.

Whilst Pixar's Brave will be looking to reclaim the top spot at the head of the box office for a second week running, it will face stiff competition from Mike, which has already beaten the children's fantasy adventure in terms of pre-ordered tickets.

However there is also competition to be found in the shape of two new comedies vying for the top spot at the box office this weekend, with Tyler Perry's Madea's Witness Protection and the Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis starring Ted, from Family Guy creator SETH MCFARLANE.

This is the first three horse race that industry execs have dealt with for some time, although most critics and insiders are tipping the male-stripping movie to take the top spot by the end of the weekend.
