R&B superstar MARY J. BLIGE has received a formal apology from the editors of a British women's magazine after they falsely reported she was pregnant with her first child.
An article published in the May (10) issue of Marie Claire magazine suggested the No More Drama hitmaker was expecting a baby with her husband Kendu Isaacs, but the story proved to be false and editors have now issued a statement on the magazine's U.K. website, apologising to Blige for the misunderstanding.
The message reads, "In the May issue of Marie Claire, we erroneously reported that Mary J. Blige is expecting a baby with her husband this summer.
"This is not the case and we apologise for any upset or offense this may have caused."
Blige, who wed Isaacs in 2003, is stepmother to her husband's three children from a previous relationship.
