Madonna wanted Adele to join her on stage during her Super Bowl performance.

The 53-year-old singer was the halftime entertainment at the showpiece NFL game in February and admits she was considering asking the 'Someone Like You' hitmaker to sing with her because she's such a huge fan.

However, Adele was still recovering from her throat surgery so wouldn't have been able to do it.

When asked if she would like to work with Adele: ''Yes, I would love to. I would love to meet her, I think she's brilliant, I love her.

''Yes, she's cool. I wanted her to be in the Super Bowl with me, but I think she was having her throat problem or throat operation or something so...''

Madonna also revealed she has no plans to become a judge on a singing talent show as she doesn't watch them.

She told ITV1's 'Daybreak' and 'Lorraine': ''I haven't really thought about it to tell you truth and I've never actually seen any of those shows - I don't watch television. And the contests, well everybody's a bit contest obsessed. I don't actually like the idea of being a judge. It's so subjective - like what's good and what isn't. I don't know, I think perhaps we're too obsessed with it.

Madonna Morning is on tomorrow (20.04.12) on ITV1's 'Daybreak' and 'Lorraine'.
