Madonna’s stalker looks like he’s going to get away scot free – after revealing to the court that he doesn’t feel the same way about her as he used to. In what certainly sounds to us like the words of a man still a little deluded, 61 year-old Robert Linhart quipped outside the Manhattan Criminal Court, where he was tried on stalking charges, "She's enjoying her life with her 24-year-old boyfriend.” The quip was in reference Brahim Zaibat, who is rumored to be involved with the Queen of Pop.

The New York Daily News reports that Linhart then added "I don't feel the same about her. The woman advocates free speech in Russia and then she has her security violate my right to free speech.” Well, indeed, good on you sir. That said, we must confess we’d feel a little unnerved if somebody we didn’t know started camping opposite our apartment and wrote gigantic signs on the street that read things like "The Universe brought us together in 1992 and again this year in Prague. Meet me please."

That’s what Linhart did in 2010 outside Madonna’s Central Park apartment, repeating the act despite being arrested for graffiti the first time round. Ultimately though, he’s walked free, with only one charge of resisting arrest leveled at him. His lawyer Lawrence LaBrew said: "Mr. Linhart served with the New York City Fire Department for 20 years. He put his life on the line for the citizens of New York.”
