Madonna Imparts Message Of Peace At World Tour Opener
Madonna has been attracting some negative attention in the lead up to her world tour, with it being widely reported that she has opened up the rift between her and Lady GaGa again during rehearsals, after singing an excerpt from Gaga's 'Born This Way' and then singing "you can't steal from me."
However, at her self-dubbed Concert For Peace she was in more chivalrous form. "We all bleed the same colour," she told her ecstatic crowd, whilst a backdrop of enormous illuminated crucifix and satanic symbols filled the space behind her. Continuing, she added "If we can all rise above our egos and our titles and the names of our countries and our religions, and treat everyone around us with dignity and respect, then we are on the road to peace. If there is peace here in the Middle East, there can be peace in the whole world." And the song she then chose to go into just to give her message that extra bit of impact? Erm, her new track titled 'Gang Bang.' Hmmm.
