Security guard William Long was left with a gash in his hand after MAChine Gun Kelly, real name Richard Baker, reportedly hurled a bottle at him when a fight broke out following the rapper's gig in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Long claims he spent eight days in hospital and needed two separate surgeries after the bust-up, which ended in Baker's arrest on suspicion of misdemeanour disorderly conduct.
He is suing for unspecified damages in excess of $15,000 (£9,375), according to a lawsuit obtained by U.S. website Tmz.com.
Baker tweeted about his arrest after spending several hours in the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, telling fans, "Just spent my entire night in a f**king Florida jail... s**t escaladed (sic) way to (sic) quick last night, it always does with us though."
