Maccabees Talk New Albumby Contributor | 03 October 2008
THE MACCABEES have been discussing their new album, which they are currently in the process of recording.
The south London outfit are putting the finishing touches to the follow-up to their 2007 debut COLOUR IT IN.
Guitarist Felix White told BBC 6 Music they have been playing some of the new material live, which "feels really good to us".
"It's definitely a step on, but the spirit is still there which is nice. I think the songs are there which is really important and why were taking our time and were happy with it," he said.
"I think we wanna take a slightly different stance on recording," Felix's brother Hugo continued.
"Rather than making it a straight rock production, we wanna just try and do something a bit different and more interesting."
The band are planning to have recording completed by the end of the year with a view to release in February or March.
