Rapper Lupe Fiasco has quit Twitter.com after abandoning plans to release a sequel to last year's (12) Food & Liquor Ii: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1.

The Superstar hitmaker, real name Wasalu Muhammad Jaco, had been working on the second part of the project in recent months, but it appears the album is no longer on his 'to do' list.

A message posted on his Twitter page on Thursday (17Jan13) read: "Hello. A decision has been made that the project titled 'F&L2 Part 2' will be summarily cancelled for public release in 2013..."

A subsequent tweet claimed Fiasco would be releasing some new music later this year (13), although both notes were promptly deleted, according to HipHopDx.com.

Now Fiasco appears to be preparing to shut down the page - the only text on the website reads: "The #Lf twitter is now closed. Please follow @DJBusy + @Sndclsh for daily updates. Thank You."

The rapper had previously warned fans Food & Liquor Ii: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1 could be his final release.
