Lulu Guinness says it's important to listen to other people's advice when it comes to her work.
The handbag designer's company is 21 this year and has learnt she isn't always right and now takes onboard different opinions.
The 40-year-old star said: "When I was younger I tended to be very headstrong - I thought I knew better. As I've got older I've learnt how invaluable other people's input is. You can decided not to take the advice, but at least be aware of it."
Lulu admits she has made mistakes in the past but thinks they are the best way to learn.
She said: "It's equally important to learn from your own mistakes as you go through life because it's those things that make you an interesting person."
As well as taking on other people's opinions, Lulu is also delegating more of her work even though she admits it's hard for her to do.
She told the Stylist magazine: "It's been painful but I've learnt to delegate. I've realised now I can't manage everything and I get great satisfaction in watching my team develop. The only thing I do insist on is signing off visuals, because the look of my brand is everything."
