Lucy Spraggan Hoping X-factor Fame Leads To Love
Lucy Spraggan has stated her intention to find love on the back of her successful X-Factor performance, reports The Metro.
Following her popular performance on Britain's favourite talent show, The X Factor, the singer songwriter is hoping her exposure will land her a girlfriend. "X Factor must do wonders for your love life," she said. "Girls do love girls with guitars." The 20-year old came out 6 years ago when she was 14, and her mum loves her daughter's freedom. "My mum loves gay people, she thinks she's part of the cool club now," she added. "But grandad only found out I was gay on Google." Her song, Last Night was a huge hit with the judges, is about young drunk teenage antics, and judge Tulisa Contostavlos was particularly impressed; "You have completely and utterly got me sold, that song there is going straight on my ipod."
Mel B, a stand in judge, was also impressed with the plucky young star, "I absolutely loved it! You don't know how great you are - and that's what's endearing as well, you've got like a little bit of vulnerability about you, be confident, you are brilliant!" she beamed. Mel B is known to be a harsh judge, even after just one performance, so her endorsement became even more impressive. The Spice Girls star has plenty of options ahead of her, after her performance at the Olympics closing ceremony landed her an offer for a role on the X-Factor 2013.
