Lowe Nearly 'Blinded' By Gervais

The pair star in new movie This Side of The Truth and Gervais was constantly playing pranks on the set.

But the 46-year-old - who also directs the movie - admits one of his tricks went awry when he accidentally injured the actor.

He says, "I showed Rob the joy of Nerf guns (toy guns). Warner (the film studio) sent us some incredible weaponry.

"One fires six darts at once and one has a rocket launcher. It got out of hand and I shot Rob in the eye.

"He was fine, but it would have been embarrassing to have had to tell Warner that filming was delayed after I blinded one of the stars.

"It did not affect my performance. At least my eye wasn't blood-shot like that loser Lowe."
