Liza Minnelli To Receive France's Top Honour
Veteran entertainer Liza Minnelli will be presented with France's highest cultural accolade next week (begs11Jul11).
The Cabaret star, 65, will receive the Legion d'honneur from Culture Minister Frederic Mitterrand in a special ceremony on Monday (11Jul11), hours before she takes to the stage in Paris for a concert at the fabled Olympia music venue.
News of the French honour comes days after Minnelli picked up the Icon prize at Britain's Silver Clef awards last Friday (01Jul11).
