Liv Tyler Disappointed About Hobbit Return
Liv Tyler is disappointed she wasn't approached to take part in 'The Hobbit'.
While the actress plays elf princess in Arwen in the 'Lord Of The Rings' trilogy, she admitted she hasn't heard from director Sir Peter Jackson or anyone else associated with the prequel but would love to be in the movie if they wanted her.
Asked if she will be taking part in 'The Hobbit', Liv told Collider.com: "I wish. Wouldn't that be great. I haven't heard from anybody and that makes me kind of sad.
"Does everyone else get to go back and I don't? I mean I know Arwen is very much not in 'The Hobbit', Arwen is barely in the other books but as far as I know I would have heard if it was happening by now.
"I've never read the Hobbit. I wish I could go to New Zealand, I don't think it's going to happen, I think I would have heard by now."
'The Hobbit' - starring Martin Freeman as the titular character - started filming in New Zealand yesterday (21.03.11), with Cate Blanchett and Elijah Wood - who played celestial beauty Galadriel and hobbit Frodo respectively in the three previous 'Lord of the Rings' movies confirmed to reprise their roles.
The movie, which is being split into two films to be released in 2012 and 2013, tells the tale of a group of dwarves played by an all-star cast including James Nesbitt and Robert Kazinsky, who must set off to fight a dragon and reclaim an empire.
