Little Mix Secure UK Singles Number One
Little Mix have topped the UK singles charts with their new single 'Wings'.
The girl group - who won last year's 'x factor' - managed their second number one, the first coming with their debut release 'Cannonball', after figures from the Official UK Charts Company released during the middle of last week revealed they were outselling Sam and the Womp's 'Bom Bom' by more than two copies to one.
Little Mix member Jesy Nelson said: ''This has been the best week ever. We feel like 'Wings' is our baby that we've been waiting to unleash on the world. To have it released and go straight to No 1 is just incredible.
''Thank you to everyone that has bought the single this week, it means so much to us.''
The group - who are also made up of Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall - recently revealed their debut album will have ''dark and spooky'' tracks on it.
Jesy explained: ''We wrote most of the songs ourselves and there are a few surprises. A couple of the tracks are dark and spooky.''
