Little Mix's Perrie Edwards to miss gig
Perrie Edwards will be forced to miss Little Mix's shows until further notice.
The 19-year-old singer has been ruled out of the band's performance at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball on Saturday (08.12.12) due to a ''recurring throat problem'' and may not perform with them for the rest of December.
A spokesman for the four-piece - Perrie, Jesy Nelson, 21, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 21, and Jade Thirlwall, 19 - confirmed the rest of the band will take the stage at London's O2 Arena this weekend, leaving Perrie ''disappointed'' to miss out.
He added: ''Leigh-Anne, Jade and Jesy do not want to let down the fans coming to see them so will perform at the upcoming shows, including Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball at the O2 this Saturday, without her until she is well enough to return.''
Little Mix rose to fame on 'The X Factor' in the UK in 2011, becoming the first girl group to win the series, under the tutelage of mentor Tulisa Contostavlos. They have since achieved two UK number one singles, 'Cannonball' and 'Wings'.
Their debut album 'DNA' reached number three on the UK album chart last month.
