Little Boots - Little Boots Vows To Play Hmv Gig To Save Local Store
British singer Little Boots has promised to perform in her local Hmv store when her next album is released in a bid to save a branch of the U.K. music chain from closure.
The British retail institution went into administration in January (13) as executives revealed the company was on the brink of going bust, and several outlets closed down in a bid to save cash.
A store in Blackpool, England is under threat of closure, and Little Boots, real name Victoria Hesketh, is doing all she can to keep the shop in her home town open.
In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "If you are still open and I am still invited I will come and play in store again."
She also declared, "Save Hmv Blackpool."
The pop star's second album, Nocturnes, is due for release in May (13).
Sir Elton John is also rumoured to be planning to play in-store gigs for the beleaguered music chain as part of an ongoing effort to save the stores.
