Lindsay Lohan has moved in to the same building as Nicole Kidman and Ben Stiller.
The 'Liz & Dick' actress is staying in the plush apartment block in Soho, New York City for free after begging a close friend to let her stay there because she was humiliated when news broke she was forced to move back in with her mother Dina recently as she is so broke.
A source told gossip website TMZ.com that the 26-year-old troubled starlet also counts Lenny Kravitz as one of her new neighbours and that Courtney Love once called the building home but sold her apartment there in 2006.
Lindsay is only allowed to stay in the property, which is said to be worth $6 million and features lavish amenities including a wine cellar, tasting room, a 24/7-concierge service and an aromatherapy filed lobby, on a temporary basis.
A source previously said: ''Lindsay was absolutely mortified and humiliated over the reports she was living back at home with Dina. She was thoroughly embarrassed that people knew how bad her finances are and exactly how broke she is. She immediately begged a friend to let her crash at their apartment in Soho. It's only a matter of time though before Lindsay wears out her welcome, as inevitably always happens, because she is a total slob and smokes like a chimney. She is still trying to get her own place, but she's totally broke and has beyond horrible credit - right now, she probably couldn't even get a library card.''
Lindsay reportedly left Los Angeles to return to her childhood home last month because she has no money left to continue renting her apartment in North Hollywood.
A source said: ''Lindsay is being forced to live at home with Dina because she can't afford any other options at the moment.
''Lindsay is flat-out broke and can't even afford to rent a two-bedroom apartment in North Hollywood.''
