Lindsay Lohan's court hearing today (February 22, 2012) was a success, with the judge telling her she's in "the home stretch" to freedom. The Mean Girls star is now just one more hearing away from being able to put her courtroom drama behind her and hopefully proceed with her acting career. Lohan is rumoured to be in the running for the role of Elizabeth Taylor in the forthcoming Elizabeth and Richard: A Love Story, providing she can keep herself on the straight and narrow.

The 25 year-old actress attended today's court hearing wearing a mint green shift dress and sporting bleach blonde hair. According to New York Daily News, she smiled throughout the hearing, during which Judge Stephanie Sautner told her "Miss Lohan, you're in the home stretch. Your probation officer is pleased. You seem to be getting your life back on track, and that's what we all hoped for." Lohan's mother reportedly watched from the gallery. Lohan has just one more court hearing, on March 29. Before then, she is required to complete a further 15 hours of community service at the morgue and attend a further five therapy sessions. "After March 29, all you have to do is obey all laws, stay out of trouble and move on with your life," Sautner told her.

Lindsay Lohan clearly intends to kick-start her comeback before her final hearing, though. On March 3, Lohan is reported to be hosting Saturday Night Live. It will be the fourth time that she's hosted the show, but her first since 2006.
