Lindsay Lohan - Lindsay Lohan 'Awesome' In Machete

Lindsay Lohan is "awesome" in 'Machete'.

The troubled actress - who plays a gun-toting nun in the Robert Rodriguez-directed movie - was praised by cast and crew at the film's premiere in Los Angeles last night (25.08.10), despite her recent trip to jail and a subsequent rehab facility.

Speaking on the red carpet, Robert said: "She's awesome in the movie. That's what they'll see: the actress behind all that paparazzi nonsense that follows her and won't leave her alone. They'll get to see her and say, 'Oh, that's why we follow her around.' "

Jessica Alba also praised the 24-year-old star.

She said: "She's so good in this movie. I can't wait for people to see her in it."

Jessica was among a number of the film's stars to turn up to the World Premiere of the film - Michelle Rodriguez and Danny Trejo were also in attendance, as was iconic film director Quentin Tarantino and comedienne Sarah Silverman.

'Machete' is released in the US on September 3 and the rest of the world throughout October and November.
