Lil Wayne's New York Snub Angers City Senator
Lil Wayne's musings can't usually be published on a nice family website like Contactmusic.com, but "I don't like New York," requires little censorship. The U.S rapper was giving a frank explanation of his thoughts on the city that never sleeps on MTV News, but Senator Smith has taken offence to his tepid words, and has stated his requirement for a full apology. "I take strong exception to the words 'I don't like New York,'" said Mr. Smith. The Democrat called an ad-hoc news conference, especially announce his dismay and make the special request. "If you don't like New York," Mr. Smith said, "you don't have to come to New York. You don't have to sell your products here. And perhaps we won't come to your concerts." Lil Wayne will be at home, studying the alchemy of the spoken word to conjure a biting repost, we're sure.
Dwayne M. Carter Jr may be at odds with The Big Apple due to his far from happy experiences within the city. The A Milli rapper has been arrested on illegal weapon possession charges, spent eight months behind bars in Rikers Island, and endured ridicule of his young protege Nicki Minaj. The New Orleans-born rapper is currently writing a book about his experiences in Prison.
