Lil Wayne Sued Again
The hip-hop star is facing legal action from bosses at a music publishing company who allege he used a sample without permission in his 2006 collaboration with Bryan 'Birdman' Williams, Army Gunz.
Executives at Bridgeport Music allege the track features parts of You and Your Folks, Me and My Folks by 1970s funk band Funkadelic.
The legal action was filed in a California court last week (ends12Jun11) and marks the third lawsuit filed against Lil Wayne so far this month (Jun11). He is also facing allegations of unpaid royalties stemming from a 2008 collaboration with T-Pain from production duo Play-N-Skillz, while producer David Kirkwood has sued the star for alleged outstanding payments and royalties from his hit album Tha Carter Iii.
