Lil Wayne Placed In Solitary Confinement
LIL WAYNE, the GRAMMY AWARD winning rapper who is currently serving a one year prison sentence, has been placed in solitary confinement, reports MTV News. On Monday 4th October, the 28-year-old was found to be in violation of prison rules when, back in May, guards found a pair of headphones and an MP3 player charger in his cell.
The rapper will now remain segregated from other prisoners until his release date in November, a spokesman told BBC News. He will be confined to his single cell for 23 hours a day and will no longer be allowed to socialise with inmates or watch television - he will also be limited to one telephone call per week.
LIL WAYNE was jailed in March 2010 after pleading guilty to gun possession. The charges related to an incident in 2007 when, after performing at the Beacon Theatre in New York, the rapper was smoking marijuana outside his tour-bus. After being taken into custody by police, he was found to be carrying a .40 caliber pistol. Despite his imprisonment, the 28-year-old's new album 'I Am Not a Human Being', was digitally released on 27th September 2010, with a physical release set to hit shelves on 12th October.
