Moments later, posters featuring the image of Tupac are spotted scattered on the floor, and Lil Wayne is seen smashing a Gibson guitar to bits while Nirvana's 'Smells like Teen Spirit' plays. After a lengthy hiatus, the rapper's much-delayed album 'Tha Carter 4' is scheduled to hit shelves on 29th August - one day after the Vma's. Others announced to perform at the awards show include Chris Brown and British songstress Adele.

The 28th annual Mtv Video Music Awards will air live on Sunday 28th August from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. This year's big nominees include Britney Spears, Bruno Mars and KATY PERRY.
