Lil Wayne Bids To Stall Lawsuit

Rapper Lil Wayne is bidding to delay a lawsuit filed by a singer accusing him of stealing a sample from her song without permission.

Karma-Ann Swanepoel is suing the rapper and his label Cash Money, claiming he used an excerpt of her song Once in his 2007 track I Feel Like Dying.

According to the suit, Cash Money approached Swanepoel's publishing company before the song was released, but they failed to reach an agreement.

As part of the suit, the publisher's lawyers have ask to receive access to documents relating to the sample by Friday (19Dec08) at the latest.

Cash Money's lawyers have appealed to extend the deadline until Tuesday (16Dec08).
