Liam Gallagher threw a huge bash to celebrate his 40th birthday.

The Beady Eye frontman reached the milestone age on Friday (21.09.12) and arranged the party at London's Whisky Mist, with some help from his wife Nicole Appleton, to mark the big day.

A source told The Sun newspaper: ''Liam isn't shy about hitting the big 4-0. He's got all his friends and family down for a tear-up.

''He's had a brilliant week over in Madrid doing some business with his clothing label Pretty Green and had a belter of a night out. He's starting a new decade in his life with a bang.''

Despite turning 40, Liam hasn't lost his appetite for partying and recently revealed he would love to hit the town with Prince Harry - who was recently photographed naked in a Las Vegas hotel suite enjoying a game of strip billiards.

He said: ''I'd like to party with Prince Harry. He's cool. If I was a ginger prince and third in line to the throne, I'd get p***ed and naked every night. Just for the hell of it. I've never got so bladdered I've got naked though. I can handle my booze.''
