Liam Gallagher - Liam Gallagher: 'Noel And I Will Have Grown Up By 2015'
Liam Gallagher is still pushing for a 2015 Oasis reunion - because he and estranged brother Noel will have "grown up" by then.
Despite initially suggesting a comeback around the 20th anniversary of the group's (What's The Story) Morning Glory album, Noel Gallagher now appears to be opposed to the idea of reteaming with his brother and former bandmates, who make up new band Beady Eye, but singer Liam is still keen to put the Britpop group back together.
In an interview on Canadian TV show George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight, which will air on Tuesday (25Oct11), Liam says, "Noel is the one that started this kind of thing. But I'm definitely up for doing a tour... I don't think me and him will ever be in a full-on band again; that's done, I think. But Noel was mentioning, like, a tour for the 2015 What's the Story Morning Glory (anniversary), and I think, by then, three years, I will have grown up a bit by then and so will he.
"We've got time to work on it... I think we can do that and then go back back to Beady Eye and (Noel's solo act) High Flying Birds."
But Noel no longer seems to be keen on the idea, telling Bbc Newsbeat, "He's (Liam) got my permission to go and play it (album). He can play it if he wants. I don't mind. I left that band for a reason and that reason still stands."
Noel Gallagher walked out on the band during a European tour in 2009 following years of bust-ups with his younger brother. The two have waged a war of words with each other ever since and Liam filed suit against the guitarist earlier this year (11) after Noel claimed the singer had lied about his reasons for pulling out of a British festival gig in 2009.
