Liam Gallagher - Liam Gallagher blasts Noel for playing Oasis songs
'Beady Eye' singer Liam Gallagher has slammed his brother Noel and branded him a ''gobs***e'' because he still plays Oasis songs at shows four years after their split.
Liam Gallagher calls brother Noel a ''gobs***e'' for still playing Oasis songs live.
The sibling rivals released seven albums under the banner of the Britpop icons before going their separate ways and now the 'Beady Eye' singer has blasted his brother for still performing the band's hits live with new project High Flying Birds.
He told NME magazine: ''Noel does it quite a bit. It's schizophrenic.
''If you want to play Oasis songs put the band back and stop being a gobs***e ... He hasn't got the balls to go and do High Flying Birds on his own, like we did.''
When the band split in 2009, Liam formed Beady Eye with fellow ex-Oasis members Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock - and he has insisted they will continue to limit references to the past in their current live shows.
He added: ''[We] will keep it as two [Oasis songs] because there's too many people loitering in the past. We can't be doing 10 of them in the set, we're not Oasis.''
Liam recently slammed Noel and claimed the musician always ''wanted out'' of the band so he could be in the spotlight.
He said: ''Noel wanted out, man, don't be f***ing kidded. He always wanted to be a frontman. He loves being in the f***ing spotlight, being in charge.
''All that crap about, 'This has been thrust upon me, let's deal with it together.' F**k off, you've been planning it for years, you ****.''
