According to The Mirror, the Formula 1 racing superstar was overheard telling a guest at the Sports For Peace dinner in London that he and Nicole are 'happy and together' and added, 'we're back on'. He had previously upset the new addition to the 'X Factor' judging panel and on/off girlfriend of five years by hiring out a swish penthouse hotel suite for 5k following a night out in order to enjoy further partying with a group of his female fans. He was also heard telling people that his Scherzinger 'trusts him 100 per cent' and that between them there were 'no issues'. The source told the publication, "Lewis seemed keen to reassure his friends that the relationship is anything but over. In fact, he was gushing about Nicole and seemed genuinely happy".

He certainly seems to have grovelled his way back into Scherzinger's arms having recently sent red and white roses to her hotel room during the 'X Factor' auditions with notes reading 'Love L' on at least two occasions according to a source in the Daily Star.
