Lester Wants 'Justice' In Jackson's Death

OLIVER! star Mark Lester is calling on U.S. authorities to hold Michael Jackson's personal physician to account over the King of Pop's death.

Dr. Conrad Murray is accused of administering a dose of anaesthetic drug Propofol that led to the superstar's passing last June (09).

The Thriller superstar's death was declared a homicide by the Los Angeles county coroner's office and the medic has been identified in search warrants as a suspect in a manslaughter investigation.

Prosecutors are reportedly preparing to charge Murray after months of investigations.

And Lester, Jackson's longtime friend and godfather to the singer's children, wants Murray to be properly punished if he's found guilty of any wrongdoing.

Lester tells RadarOnline.com, "Something has to be done and a strong example set... They really have to make an example of Murray and I fear that justice will not be done in Michael's case. I come from a medical background and this man was giving Michael a pre-operative medication (Propofol) which should never have been used to aid sleeping - no matter how much money he was being paid he should have said, 'No'.

"It was a case of money over morals and we have seen in other high profile cases such as Anna Nicole Smith and Heath Ledger these are all preventable deaths. Michael Jackson had a lot of life left in him and his friends and family were left devastated by his sudden death."

Powerful words from a close friend of Michael's for sure. There is a picture of Michael in Acapulco with his friends, Mark Lester, Chris Tucker and Brett Ratner, it really is a wonderful picture and you can feel the L.O.V.E among them. I think a lot of times with his playfulness and camaraderie that Michael recreated the beautiful, fun times he had with his loving brothers especially the times when they toured as the young Jackson 5. Michael's close friends and family are bereft at this point and so are fans like us. Such a lineup of drugs! I think the doctor had no respect for Michael as a human being. To the doctor Michael was a fat sum of money and he had not even been paid yet he had worked for MJ almost two months. Lax behaviour at the very very very least. Soooo sorry Michael! Beautiful boy lovely man. R.I.P
