Leonardo Dicaprio To Clean Up As Hoover?
Leonardo DiCaprio is being lined up for a starring role in a biopic about FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover.
Leonardo DiCaprio is set to star in a biopic on the life of J. Edgar Hoover.
The 'Titanic' star could play the former 1st Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) in a movie directed by Clint Eastwood but has not yet signed a contract.
The 35-year-old actor told Entertainment Weekly: "It sounds interesting to say the least. There's no contract, no anything, but I'm a huge fan of Clint's."
Dustin Lance Black, who previously worked on Oscar-winning biopic 'Milk' is writing the movie, which would tell the tale of Hoover's time and influence at the FBI, where he worked from 1935 until his death in 1972.
Leonardo has worked on a number of big movies in recent years, including Oscar-nominated 'Revolutionary Road' in 2008 and 'Blood Diamond' in 2006.
He is currently starring as US marshall Teddy Daniels in Martin Scorsese thriller 'Shutter Island', before beginning promotion for sci-fi thriller 'Inception', which hits movie screens in July.
