British pop star Leona Lewis completed a sponsored walk on Sunday (09Oct11) to raise money for an animal sanctuary.
The animal-loving singer performed at the Michael Jackson tribute concert in Wales on Saturday night (08Oct11), and travelled back to England overnight to make sure she was able to step out early the next morning to raise funds for the Hopefield Animal Sanctuary in Essex.
Lewis trekked the five-mile (eight-kilometre) route to raise cash for the organisation and deputy manager Lianne Angliss reveals she is glad of the star's support, telling the Brentwood Weekly News, "It's been great, support has gone up and we're getting visitors every day now when it used to be just at weekends."
