Leo Ihenacho Breaks World Record With Charity Gigs
The British singer, also known as Leo the Lion, played the shows in less than a day, starting last Wednesday (11Jul12), in a stunt to benefit The Prince's Trust.
He kicked off his shows at the London Eye attraction, before performing for audiences at venues including the London Dungeons, a prison cell and a meat market .
He closed his tour at London club Funky Buddha, and managed to set the world record for most gigs in 24 hours, as well as raising money for the charity which helped him kickstart his career.
Ihenacho tells Britain's Daily Mail, "I definitely had to do it because The Prince's Trust helped me out when I was starting out in the game. They gave me £5,000 to set up a studio myself. I wanted to give something back, especially for the kids who are coming up now because I know for me at that age, I couldn't really go to a bank for a loan, but it's not just adults that have good ideas.
"The Prince's Trust kind of gave me that avenue to try something and once they got in touch, it was a no brainer for me from then on."
