Leno's Ratings Plunge Deeper

Dismal ratings for Monday night's Jay Leno Show on NBC seemed to indicate that the late-night talk-show host has a rough road ahead of him to repair his image before he returns to the Tonight show on March 1. Monday's primetime telecast drew just 3.9 million viewers -- well below even his already low numbers for the season. It was difficult to determine whether the low ratings should be attributed to an apparent general perception that he colluded with NBC executives to regain his Tonight show desk or whether they could be blamed on the poor showing of his two hour-long lead-in shows. Both of them placed fourth in the ratings, Chuck with 6.7 million viewers and Heroes with 4.4 million.
