Leibovitz Defends Cyrus' Vanity Fair Shoot

Celebrity photographer ANNIE LEIBOVITZ insists her controversial MILEY CYRUS shoot for Vanity Fair was justified, because the pictures of the teenager were "innocent".
Leibovitz's photos of the Hannah Montana star, wearing just a blanket wrapped around her bare back and chest, caused outrage earlier this year (08) because the singer/actress was aged just 15 at the time.
Cyrus and Leibowitz both issued apologies over the shoot - but the photographer is adamant the results were misinterpreted.
She tells the New York Post, "The Miley picture was a beautiful, strong, simple picture.
"I think it's actually sort of innocent on some level. She loved taking that picture, and she was ready to take that picture.
"It's just that her audience wasn't ready."
